Increase of sexual assaults reports in West Island 2015-2016

According to 2016 crime statistics released recently by the Montreal police department, overall crime rates have decreased slightly in the West Island since 2015.
The bad news: From petty larceny and drug busts to prostitution and break-ins, a grand total of 6,053 crimes were recorded in the West Island in 2016.
