Holiday season means big spending: Study

In addition to spending on gifts this holiday season, a study conducted by Ebates.ca suggests Canadians will also plunk down an average of $528 on secondary purchases, like entertainment, decorations and travel.
According to the study, Canadians are expected to spend an average of $602 on gifts.
All told, that brings the expected average outlay this holiday season to $1130.
