History Through Our Eyes: Sept. 17, 1970, a new Radio-Canada building

On Sept. 17, 1970, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the "topping-off" of a new building for Radio-Canada/CBC on what was then Dorchester Blvd. E. (now René-Lévesque). That marked the completion of the 23-storey hexagonal building's outer structure, which amounted to about 60 per cent of the overall construction job, we reported the following day.
