Heat warning issued for Montreal, with highs topping 30C

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the Montreal region, as temperatures continue at above-seasonal levels.
The heat warning says that “exceptionally warm and humid conditions” will persist over Southwestern and Central Quebec through Wednesday with highs around 30 degrees Celsius and humidex values reaching 40C. 
At 2 p.m. Monday, the temperature at Trudeau airport was 31C with a humidex of 40C.
The seasonal temperatures at this time of year are around 15C to 18C d
