The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and Montreal and Quebec provincial police have launched Operation Impact on this Thanksgiving weekend in hopes of urging holiday drivers to keep the roads as safe as possible.
All weekend, through Monday and hopefully at least one turkey dinner, police will be conducting road and autoroute checks for seatbelt use, speed, use of electronic devices while driving and of course impaired driving.
