Habs Game Report: Team-record 11th shutout is embarrassing milestone

TORONTO — The play of goaltender Charlie Lindgren was the only reason the Toronto Maple Leafs didn’t run the Canadiens out of the Air Canada Centre on Saturday. Lindgren, who has given up 16 goals in his three previous starts, finished on the short end of a 4-0 count, but he kept the score semi-respectable as he made 45 saves. Curtis McElhinney made 33 saves for Toronto as the Canadiens were shut out for a team-record 11th time this season.
