Former Ste-Thérèse cop Michel Usereau pleads guilty to 2001 murder

A former cop has pleaded guilty to reduced charges in a Montreal murder case that dates back almost 17 years.
On Friday, Michel Usereau, a former member of the Ste-Thérèse police, finally admitted he killed Jean-Jacques Melkonian in 2001 while the men were the heads of competing security firms. Usereau also pleaded guilty to having shot Melkonian’s fiancée that same night.
He was originally charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder. But on Friday he pleaded
