Former Quebec justice minister Jérôme Choquette has died

A powerful member of Robert Bourassa’s first government, Jérôme Choquette, has died at the age of 89.
He succumbed to pneumonia on Friday.    
Choquette was best known for his role during the October Crisis, which took place while he was Quebec’s Minister of Justice for Quebec. He associated himself with the more hawkish members of the government, an image he liked to project by carrying a revolver, which he later said was so he wouldn’t be intimidat
