Former cop pleads guilty in 2001 homicide case

A former cop has pleaded guilty to reduced charges in a Montreal murder case that dates back almost 17 years.
On Friday, Michel Usereau, a former member of the Ste-Therese police, finally admitted he killed Jean-Jacques Melkonian in 2001 while the men were the heads of competing security firms. Usereau also pleaded guilty to having shot Melkonian’s fiancée that same night.
