Former CEGEP teacher may have attempted suicide after being sentenced

A man in his 50s caused panic at the Quebec City courthouse on Wednesday morning when he made what appears to be a suicide attempt after receiving his sentence in a child pornography case.
When Judge Christian Boulet sentenced him to six months in prison, Nicolas Boudreau, 52, swallowed an unidentified liquid substance.
The special constables intervened to perform resuscitation manoeuvres until the arrival of the paramedics, who took him to a hospital.
