Five arrested in Laval restaurant robbery investigation

Police have arrested five people who allegedly stole easily accessible wallets, then quickly used the credit cards to ring up thousands of dollars in charges.
In many cases, the wallets were taken from coats and purses hanging on the backs of chairs in restaurants, according to the Laval police department, which said it is dealing with “a wave of thefts in several restaurants in Laval.”
