Five-alarm fire snarls traffic on Pie IX Blvd.

Motorists were being advised to avoid the area around Pierre-de-Coubertin St. and Pie IX Blvd. Thursday morning as more than 100 firefighters battled a five-alarm blaze in an apartment building.
The fire seems to have broken out on the third floor of the structure. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Pie-IX Blvd. is closed in both directions between Hochelaga and Sherbrooke Sts.
