Federal minister shares personal abortion story in response to anti-abortion rally

Minister of Tourism and Montreal MP Soraya Martinez Ferrada faced a difficult decision when she found out she was pregnant at the age of 18 as she returned to Chile years after she and her family fled the country as political refugees. She says she had to turn around because abortion was illegal in Chile, and remembers that moment as the second time Canada saved her.
