English-speaking immigrant entrepreneurs face additional barriers

A new study suggests that English-speaking immigrants to Quebec have a harder time starting businesses than other groups — even though immigrants are more interested in starting businesses than people born in the province.
Forty-three per cent of English-speaking immigrants surveyed who currently own a business said they were discouraged by the entrepreneurial landscape in Quebec, according to the survey released by Youth Employment Services and the Association for Canadian Studies.&n
