Projet Montréal wants to build a promenade on Île-Ste-Hélène so Montrealers can enjoy the St-Lawrence River and views of Montreal.
On Saturday, Valérie Plante, the party’s mayoral candidate, said the 500-metre “river promenade” would link La Ronde to Place des Nations in Jean-Drapeau Park.
She said the city’s original plans to redevelop part of the island included such a walkway but it was removed.
