Driver seriously injured after a U-turn causes accident in Valleyfield

A motorist was seriously injured during a collision Saturday afternoon in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, 65 kilometres southwest of Montreal. 
Provincial police were called to the scene of the accident on eastbound Highway 530 shortly after 1:30 p.m.
The driver of a Ford F150 pickup truck, which had been in a lineup of cars waiting for a drawbridge to reopen, decided not to wait and made a U-turn, when he was hit by an oncoming Ford Mustang.
