Driver arrested, passenger dead after crash on Papineau Blvd. in Laval

A 34-year-old car passenger is dead and the 27-year-old man behind the wheel of the car facing a charge of impaired driving after an early morning car crash on Papineau Blvd. in Laval.
The incident occurred at 4:50 a.m. Police say the car containing the two men was heading north on Papineau Blvd. when it collided with a southbound street sweeping truck.
The 34-year-old passenger in the car died of his injuries several hours after the crash while the driver will face a charge of impaired driving.
