Downtown fire forces eight families from their homes: reports

Eight families were forced from their homes Saturday night after a fire broke out on the first floor of an apartment complex downtown, according to reports.
Firefighters received a call about the fire on Wolfe St. just after 7 p.m. It took about 60 firefighters to control the blaze, which is reported to have caused thousands of dollars in damage.
The fire was not criminal, according to Montreal police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils, and Urgences-Santé reported no injuries.&n
