Dorval wants to better protect private woods

Dorval city council approved an bylaw amendment that will allow the city to preserve trees in property that are to be developed in the future.
Dorval Mayor Edgar Rouleau said the new bylaw will pertain more to wooded lots that contain the most “majestic trees.
“We want to save trees that, let’s say, have the most the impact on a property,” the mayor said.
