Denis Coderre pledges to support companies involved in the social economy

Denis Coderre pledged on Monday to increase support for organizations and startups that work in the social economy.
In Montreal, about 65,000 people work as part of the social economy, businesses and organizations that reinvest part of their profits to benefit the local community by providing services and creating jobs for people who are socially excluded. There are about 3,500 businesses or community organizations involved in this sector.
