Daycare workers to strike Thursday in Montreal and Laval

Employees at 61 publicly-funded daycares in Montreal and Laval will stage a strike on Thursday because they’re unhappy with contract talks. Workers have been without a collective agreement since March 2015.
The strike will affect about 6,000 children in daycares affiliated with the Confédération des syndicats nationaux.
As of 9 a.m., about 1,350 workers are expected to assemble for a meeting at the Palais des congrès to hear about the latest bargaining report, and deci
