Daycare workers in Montreal and Laval to return from strike Monday

The strike that started June 6 in 57 publicly-funded daycare centres in Montreal and Laval is over.
Conciliators from the provincial labour department have submitted a proposed settlement to both sides. The Union des Travailleuses des Centres de la petite enfance, affiliated with the Confederation of National Trade Unions (CSN), and the daycare employers’ association have both agreed to recommend the deal to their members for ratification.
