Crane set on fire in Rivière-des-Prairies parking lot

A crane was set on fire Saturday night in a parking lot in Rivière-des-Prairies borough.
The fire, which was reported at 8:30 p.m. in a 911 call, could be of criminal origin. Firefighters on the scene found traces of an accelerant.
The crane’s cabin, which was at the intersection of 6th Ave. and Honoré-Vaillancourt St., was destroyed.
The investigation is to be carried out by the Criminal Fire Section of the Montreal Police Department.
