Confirmed: Habs name Joël Bouchard head coach of Laval Rocket

The Canadiens announced Thursday morning that Joël Bouchard is the new head coach of the AHL’s Laval Rocket.
Bouchard won the Ron Lapointe Trophy this season as the QMJHL’s top coach after leading the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada to a league-best 50-11-7 record. The Armada advanced to the President’s Cup final for the second straight season, losing in six games to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
