Comedy traces attempt to transform a ramshackle fixer-upper

Describing it as a dump would be generous. A good-natured slacker named Bruno has inherited a shack near a swamp from his dad and Bruno has a plan. He wants to transform it into a vacation destination and rent it out to family. Uh, not so fast.
Such is the premise of humorist Lorne Elliott’s play The Fixer-Upper, based on his book of the same name. The play has a two-day run at Hudson Village Theatre, April 20-21 at 8 p.m.
