Coderre to file two permanent injunctions against Sanimax rendering plant

Incumbent Montreal mayor Denis Coderre has vowed to help people living in the vicinity of an animal rendering plant in the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough, notably by filing for two permanent injunctions against the Sanimax company.
Noting residents’ quality of life has been adversely affected by the company, which is already contesting $800,000 in fines, the city will ask the court for one injunction on the basis of Sanimax not respecting a zoning bylaw
