City sets aside an additional $10 million for snow clearing
Montreal is having to dip into its contingency funds for an additional $10 million for snow clearing.
The city’s executive committee approved the additional expense, caused by this year’s unusually heavy snowfall, on Wednesday.
Even though Montrealers have had a break in recent weeks, it was an unusually challenging year for snow removal, executive-committee chairperson Benoit Dorais said.
