For the last year, Nancy’s sole job has been to take care of her son 24/7.
The nine-year-old has a slew of mental health issues, she explained, and problems associated with his conditions would often pull her away from her job at a daycare. She recalled receiving calls from his school, saying that he was in crisis and she needed to come pick him up, only to find that he had been transported to a hospital in an ambulance by the time she arrived.
