Car catches fire on Décarie Expressway, stalling traffic

Lunchtime traffic on the northbound Décarie Expressway was backed up even more than usual as a car caught fire and stalled at the Édouard Montpetit Blvd. underpass.
Motorists were able to see flames shooting out of the car, making for a dramatic scene. However, Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Daniel Thibodeau said no one was injured. 
The incident happened about noon, and by 1 p.m. the car had been removed and traffic congestion returned to its normal pace.
