Canadiens send Victor Mete to Team Canada camp

Victor Mete is headed to the World Junior Hockey Championship.
The Canadiens announced Monday that the rookie defenceman was being loaned to Team Canada for the tournament, which starts Dec. 26 in Buffalo, N.Y.
Meter, a fourth-round pick by the Canadiens in 2016, will report to the selection camp, being held Dec. 12-15 in St. Catherines, Ont.“We’ve made the decision to allow Victor Mete to join Team Canada’s selection camp to give him an opportunity to participate in a very ben
