Jesperi Kotkaniemi made a good first impression on coach Claude Julien after the Canadiens selected him with the No. 3 overall pick at this year’s NHL Draft.
“Same as you guys and I know you’re probably going to laugh at this,” Julien said Friday about meeting Kotkaniemi for the first time at the June draft in Dallas. “But big smile, just happy to be drafted. And he seemed like a real good kid. You say: Now, what are we going to see with him on the ice?”
