Canadiens get No. 3 overall pick in NHL Draft Lottery

The Canadiens won the No. 3 overall pick at Saturday night’s NHL Draft Lottery and will pick after the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes.
Heading into the lottery, the Canadiens had a 9.5-per-cent chance of getting the No. 1 pick after finishing 28th in the overall NHL standings during the regular season. The Sabres, who had the worst record out of the 31 teams, had an 18.5-per-cent chance, while the Hurricanes only had a 3.0-per-cent chance after finishing 21st.
