Canadiens get cooking with higher than expected NHL draft assets

CHICAGO — The Montreal Canadiens used the NHL entry draft to restock the larder with a heavy emphasis on what player personnel chief Trevor Timmins described as assets.
“We were able to add some defencemen we had targeted and we picked up a couple of centres and then we added a goaltender we liked in the final round,” Timmins said Saturday.
