CAA-Québec reminder: Don't try to cross U.S. border with cannabis

As many Quebeckers hit the road to the United States this holiday season, the CAA-Québec has issued a reminder that crossing the border with cannabis is strictly forbidden.
The organization stresses that it is illegal to leave Canada with cannabis, even though marijuana is legal in this country.
CAA-Québec says that bringing cannabis, even to a U.S. state where the drug is legal, is prohibited, as U.S. federal laws are in effect at the border.
