Boy, 4, dies in Eastern Townships house fire

A 4-year-old boy died in a fire that destroyed a residence in Dunham, in the Eastern Townships, early Saturday.
The boy’s mother and another son, aged 2, were able to escape. They suffered minor burns and were hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The father was absent at the time of the fire. He suffered a nervous shock upon arrival at the scene and was also hospitalized.
Smoke detectors alerted the mother to the fire but the 4-year-old boy became lost in the dense smoke, officials said
