Bouchard and Abanda eliminated in qualifying at Miami Open

 MIAMI – Quebecers Eugénie Bouchard and Françoise Abanda lost in qualifying at the Miami Open on Tuesday.
Bouchard, ranked 114th in the world, fell 6-4, 6-3 to Sweden’s Rebecca Peterson.
Peterson, the 116th player in the world, took an hour and 16 minutes to defeat the Westmount player.
Abanda, 124th in the world, suffered a 6-4, 6-3 loss to China’s Yafan Wang in one hour and 31 minutes.
