Black Rock memorial will anchor commemoration centre: Coderre

The Black Rock memorial, the Bridge St. landmark commemorating the thousands of Irish immigrants who died in Montreal after fleeing the famine that ravaged their homeland in the 1840s, will be the centrepiece of an historical interpretation site, the campaign for mayoral candidate Denis Coderre announced Friday.
