Bixi sets record, with 4.4 million trips taken so far in 2017

Montrealers jumped on Bixis like never before this year.
The city-operated bike-sharing service said Wednesday that 4.4 million trips have been taken so far this year, with three weeks left in the season.
That’s 300,000 more than the 4.1 million trips taken during the entire 2016 season, Bixi said.
Bixi’s season runs from April 15 to Nov. 15.
The service has 6,250 bikes and 540 docking stations in Montreal, Longueuil and Westmount.
