Beaconsfield High School concert bands bring home the gold

They practiced early morning before school. They bagged groceries at the IGA in Kirkland to raise funds. And then they headed to New York City to perform.
Last month, 100 Grade 9, 10 and 11 music students from Beaconsfield High School boarded two buses and headed to the Heritage Festival, held at New York’s Riverside Church. They returned to the West Island with the biggest medal haul from a Heritage Festival in the school’s history.
