Appealing to vanity: Quebec finally ready for personalized licence plates

The Quebec government is poised to announce Tuesday afternoon that after a four-year delay, the province is finally ready to allow drivers to purchase a vanity plate for their car, truck or motorcycle.
The idea was first broached by then Quebec transport minister Sylvain Gaudreault in January 2014 and was expected to be in place by 2015.
