Apartment fire leaves one dead in Pointe-aux-Trembles

Montreal police arson investigators are probing the cause of a fire late Monday night that left a man in his 60s dead.
Firefighters were called to an apartment block on De Montigny St. in Montreal’s Pointe-aux-Trembles district about 11:45 p.m. and discovered one unit engulfed in smoke. Once inside, they discovered the body of a man in his 60s, believed to be the apartment’s tenant. His death was declared at the scene.
