Antonio Accurso: I wrote $300,000 cheque to help a friend

Construction magnate Antontio Accurso has told a jury he was lending an old friend “a little hand” when he gave a $300,000 cheque to Richard Marcotte when he was the mayor of Mascouche.
Accurso is charged with helping Marcotte commit a breach of trust between 2006 and 2008.
The charge involves contracts ‎awarded by inter-municipal organizations that shared services, like a water treatment plant, with Mascouche.
