So is 2018 going to be a good year for draft choices?

But a mere eight games into their season, the Montreal Canadiens are looking very much like a team that’s headed for its highest draft pick since 2012.
That was the year when a last-place finish in the eastern Conference got the Canadiens the third overall pick in draft.
