A breakdown of the 908 candidates running in Quebec’s election

The five major parties each have a candidate running in all 127 ridings across the province, with fewer young people in the race than in the last election. There are 386 female candidates, representing 43 per cent of all contenders — the same proportion as in 2022. Advance polling takes place Sept. 27 and 28.
