More veggies, less meat
From its first version in 1942, the goal of the Canada Food Guide has been to educate Canadians about healthy food choices and a just-released update continues that tradition by building on research, shifting attitudes in Canadian society, and evolving needs.
“I’m very excited about the food guide,” said Teresa Ford, a local nutritionist and owner of Take Root Wellness. “The guide has not always been evidence-based and they were committed to that this time around.”
