Temperatures continue to drop in Calgary as snow tapers off Tuesday
The freezing rain early Monday amplified the issues from southern Alberta's recent snow event. A layer of ice sits under the snow on many surfaces – producing some very slippery conditions for pedestrians and vehicles. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) the north and west communities in and around Calgary took the brunt of this system.
