Separate shooting and stabbing attacks in Forest Lawn send 2 to hospital

The Calgary Police Service is investigating two separate Sunday night attacks in a southeast neighbourhood. Shortly after 7 p.m., officers responded to a location near the intersection of 18th Avenue and 42nd Street S.E. and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The shooting victim was transported by ambulance to hospital in serious condition but his injuries are not considered life threatening.
