Multiple UCP candidates facing backlash for various controversies

Four United Conservative Party candidates have come under fire for their behaviour or for the actions of close relatives. Lacombe-Ponoka UCP candidate Jennifer Johnson compared transgender children to poop in cookies, then apologized Wednesday. The next day, some UCP candidates distanced themselves from the comments. Ric McIver, who is running in the Calgary-Hays riding, tweeted, "I completely condemn Jennifer Johnson’s comments." Party Leader Danielle Smith pledged to remove her from cauc
