Mount Royal Cougars basketball game draws record crowd

CALGARY — A record-setting crowd of about 1,500 are out to watch Mount Royal University basketball on Thursday. A schedule conflict forced the Mount Royal Cougars to shift their game against the University of Regina Cougars to Thursday, with the woman tipping off at 11 a.m. and the men at 1 p.m.. As a result, they decided to invite a bunch of kids to watch. They’re calling it “Get Schooled” games and it worked so well they want to do it again. More to come.
