High Level begins evacuating south residents

Mackenzie County has issued a mandatory evacuation order for residents in the south and southeast parts of High Level, as well as south of the Bushe River Reserve.  High Level is over 700 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.  Officials said crews will soon be going door-to-door to notify those in the affected parts of the town. Manned barricades will be set up to prevent anyone from going into the evacuated areas.
